What this policy covers
This policy covers NC Wedding Guide's website, browser-agent tools, public API, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. The service helps people discover North Carolina wedding venues and vendors, view public listing details, use planning tools, and prepare or send inquiries.
Information we collect
- Information you submit, such as account details, listing submissions, claim requests, support messages, your name and email for a vendor inquiry, wedding date or range, guest count, location, and an optional inquiry message.
- Contact-intent records when you reveal or request a vendor's public contact details. These records may include the listing, time, source, an optional client identifier, referrer, user agent, and the planning details you provided.
- Basic technical data needed to operate and secure the service, including IP-derived request information, browser or client type, and error or security logs.
- First-party vendor engagement measurement, including listing-link clicks, detail views, gallery opens, inquiry form steps, and outbound contact clicks, using pseudonymous browser and session identifiers. We exclude signed-in browsing and marked tests from this new interaction tracking. No form contents or URL query strings are collected in these events.
- First-party browser-agent measurement, including a pseudonymous session and visitor identifier, whether WebMCP is available, which NC Wedding Guide tool was used, whether it succeeded, its duration, page path, and coarse result or planning ranges. We do not put raw AI prompts, search text, inquiry messages, or guest names in this measurement log.
- Authentication information and local browser storage used to keep signed-in vendor sessions and planning tools working. Guest-list records and wedding-budget details created in the browser planning tools remain on that device unless you separately submit information through another feature.
How we use information
We use information to run and secure the directory, return relevant listings, prepare and deliver vendor inquiries, process listing submissions and claims, provide support, understand service usage, compare browser-agent-assisted journeys with ordinary web journeys, prevent abuse, and improve NC Wedding Guide. A WebMCP tool may prefill an inquiry, but we only send it after you confirm your contact details and agree to share them with the selected business.
Service providers and sharing
We use service providers to host and operate NC Wedding Guide, including Cloudflare for delivery and security, Supabase for database and authentication services, and Crisp for website support chat. We may also use email-delivery providers when you request email communication. When you submit a vendor inquiry, we share the contact and wedding details you approved with that selected business so it can respond. Service providers process information for us under their own terms and safeguards. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transfer.
Public vendor information
Vendor listings contain business information intended for public discovery, such as names, locations, websites, social profiles, phone numbers, public email addresses, services, photos, and descriptions. Vendors can contact us to correct or remove inaccurate information.
Retention and security
We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including legal, security, fraud-prevention, and operational needs. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information associated with you. You may also request a vendor-listing correction or removal. Some information may be retained where required for security, legal compliance, or legitimate recordkeeping.
